"The space at 1501 Patton Ave. near Sky Lanes bowling alley includes just under 5,000 square feet of space that the dancers will separate into three studios: a small space for young students, a medium studio for classes and a large space with room for an audience of 40-60 people to watch recitals and visiting professional performers.
"My professionals can come visit and do master classes up here and little showings and things," Maloy said. "So (students) get the opportunity to be around professional dancers more often. That's one of the things that's always been lacking here in town — what the life of a professional dancer is and what you're actually aspiring to do."
The Academy at Terpsicorps offers classes for ages three and older as well as adults. A pre-professional company, The Muses, provides student dancers with deeper instruction and insight into a ballet career."
