Christopher Bandy (Ballet Master) is pleased to return for his seventh year of coaching the beautiful artists of Terpsicorps after inheriting the position from his mentor Timothy Yeager in the 2011 season, when he served as ballet master and choreographic assistant for Heather Maloy’s gruesome tour de force Vampyre. Mr. Bandy has choreographed several original works for Terpsicorps including the duet Yin/Yang in 2013, Half Past Never set to music by Stephanie Sid, On the Inside, a celebration of everyone’s inner child set to the music of Vivaldi, and last season's Softloud. A part of Terpsicorps Theater of Dance since the beginning, Christopher danced each summer for 7 of the first 8 seasons. Some of his more memorable Terpsicorps Roles include the bowler-hat man in C-H-I-C-K-E-N, the stoner in Couch Potatoes, one of The Men, the dummy in Dummy, and of course the Mighty Hermaphrodite in Cabaret KiKi. In addition to Terpsicorps, Mr. Bandy danced with American Repertory Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Dance Alloy Theater. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Mollie and daughters Amelia and Sidra where he teaches ballet to the next generation of dancers at Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company and operates a custom woodworking business, BANDY Woodworks, because who needs free time?
