Michele Bryan

Michele Bryan, Managing director

Michele Bryan comes to Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance as our new Managing Director following 10 years of working in Asheville as the community liaison for the Go Local Card, along with other development positions focused on relationship building. She was born and raised in Atlanta, and with her father’s family being native to Asheville, she’s been a part of the community since 1970. Her life long love of the arts was born when she began ballet classes at age 3 at the Atlanta School of Ballet followed by extensive training in ice skating and dance.

She’s been an ardent supporter of Terpsicorps from day one. While attending performances by the NC Dance Theatre in Charlotte in the 90’s, she developed a deep appreciation for Terpsicorps’ artistic director Heather Maloy as a performer. They became more closely acquainted when Heather taught Michele’s daughter dance in Asheville. Michele’s regular attendance at performances in both Asheville and Winston-Salem, as well as her standing as a donor and volunteer, exemplify her passion for Terpsicorps today.

Michele has worn many hats professionally all of which will contribute highly to the future growth and success of Terpsicorps. A published local non-fiction writer, co-founder of a non-profit and a family fiduciary, she brings all of this experience and skill to the Terpsicorps team. Even more crucial is her passion for the arts, Terpsicorps in particular, and her undaunted commitment to enhancing the lives of the citizens of NC through dance.
